Rest islands — These areas are not quiet areas within the meaning of the EU Ambient Noise Directive and §47d BImSchG. However, since smaller areas are also used by the population to “find rest”, these are marked in addition. — Generally accessible areas — Weighted average daytime noise level LDEN < 65 dB(A) (each considered for road and rail transport) — Weighted mean day noise level LDEN < 50 dB(A) (considered for air traffic) — Minimum size 5 ha
