Change in Unemployment 2008-2014

This dataset shows the evolution of the unemployment rate in the regions of the European Union between 2008 and 2013. The unemployment rate in the EU-28 fell from 9.3% in 2004 to 7.1% in 2008. Between 2008 and 2013, however, it rose to 10.9%, higher than at any time for which data are available (since 2000). In the EU-15, unemployment was 11.1% in 2013, which is also higher than at any time for which comparable figures are available. EU-28 = 3.5; Source: Eurostat, DG REGIO
