NRM Community – Aboriginal

The Aboriginal community program will enhance the capacity of the Murray Regions Aboriginal people to be actively engaged in NRM and involved in the decision making and practice of MLLS. This project will build on the work and aims of the Communities in NRM project and add components specific to Aboriginal communities. Planning and Investment will be strategically guided by the Murray Aboriginal Technical Group, a skills based collective of Aboriginal people.
Key aims include support Aboriginal people to reconnect to Country, manage traditional land and share Traditional Ecological Knowledge, Facilitate employment opportunities for Aboriginal people in NRM.
The project will involve Traditional Custodians, Local Aboriginal Land Councils and other key stakeholders and will contribute to the national closing the Gap on Indigenous Disadvantage and the NSW Ochre Strategy.

本原住民社区项目将提升默里地区原住民的能力，使其能够积极参与自然资源管理（Natural Resource Management，NRM）工作，并参与MLLS的决策与实践环节。本项目将依托《自然资源管理社区项目》（Communities in NRM project）的既有工作与目标，并增设针对原住民社区的专属模块。规划与投资将由默里原住民技术小组（Murray Aboriginal Technical Group）开展战略指引，该小组是由具备专业技能的原住民组成的协作团体。

核心目标包括助力原住民重新联结故土、管护传统领地，并传承传统生态知识（Traditional Ecological Knowledge）；同时为原住民创造自然资源管理领域的就业机会。

本项目将邀请传统守护者、当地原住民土地理事会及其他关键利益相关方参与，并将助力国家层面“缩小原住民弱势差距”（Closing the Gap on Indigenous Disadvantage）倡议以及新南威尔士州（New South Wales，NSW）赭石战略的落地推进。
