Salivary microbiota in school-age children

The composition of oral and gut microbiota is influenced by different diseases, including cardiovascular and Non Comunicable Diseases (NCDs). Also the regular training affects the gut microbiota composition according to the levels and volume of physical activity, with a strong impact on the qualitative and quantitative diversity of intestinal microorganisms. The aim of this study was to compare the oral microbiome composition between active and inactive primary school children.
