In 2016, 85,244 applications were registered with OFPRA, including 77,886 applications (including miners) and 7,358 reviews. 70,052 accompanying decisions, excluding minors, were taken, an increase of 12.9 % compared to 2015. OFPRA took 19,834 agreement decisions compared to 14,119 in 2015.
In 2016, the CNDA issued 42,968 decisions, an increase of 19.4 % in the number of decisions compared to 2015.
In total, the number of decisions granting protection status (refugee and subsidiary protection) taken by OFPRA and CNDA in 2016 stood at 26,351, up 35.1 % from the total positive decisions of 2015.
