"As power systems transition to inverter-based resources (IBRs), forced oscillations (FOs) may increase due to improper controller tuning or unintended control actions. To support research on FO analysis and source location, we present benchmark FO datasets generated from realistic models, including the 6564-bus realistic large-scale model of the western American Interconnection (WECC), and a 240-bus mini-WECC system, under high and low damping scenarios of inter-area modes. The datasets include strong and medium resonance cases driven by generator resources, as well as supplementary 240-bus cases with IBR-originated high-frequency oscillations. These datasets provide a benchmark for power-system researchers to evaluate and compare FO source-location methods under diverse operating conditions."
