BAT-4 Dataset: Brazilian Validation and Psychometric Analysis

This dataset contains the anonymized data used in the study “Psychometric Properties of the Ultra-Short Version of the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT-4) in the Brazilian Context.” The data were collected from a sample of 528 Brazilian workers from different occupational sectors, regions, and educational backgrounds.

The dataset includes responses to the Burnout Assessment Tool – ultra-short version (BAT-4), a four-item instrument designed to assess burnout as a unidimensional construct, as well as the Work Demand factor of the Perceived Work and Family Demand Scale. In addition, sociodemographic variables are provided, including age, gender, marital status, education level, occupational sector, work modality, and managerial position.

Data collection was conducted online using a structured questionnaire, and all participants provided informed consent. The dataset was preprocessed to exclude invalid responses based on overclaiming criteria, ensuring data quality.

This dataset supports the replication of the psychometric analyses performed in the study, including confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), reliability assessment (Cronbach’s alpha and McDonald’s omega), measurement invariance testing, and analysis of relationships with external variables.

The data can be used for research purposes related to burnout assessment, psychometric validation, occupational health, and organizational psychology.
