Escherichia phage vB_EcoM Raw DNA and RNA sequencing reads

This project aimed to elucidate how the retron Ec67 (Eco2) system detects invading phages and mediates defense. We identified a phage trigger for the retron Ec67 system through isolating phage mutants that evade the Ec67 defense (escaper phages). We selected the Escherichia phage vB_EcoM from the Hzau phage collection for the generation of escaper phages. We isolated and sequenced four escaper mutants of phage vB_EcoM. We also performed RNAseq experiments during wildtype phage vB_EcoM infection.
