CONSERVATION STRATEGIES FOR RARE PLANT SPECIES IN THE NURATA BOTANICAL-GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRICT

The Nurata botanical-geographical district is one of the important regions of Uzbekistan characterized by rich plant diversity and a significant number of endemic and rare plant species. Many of these species are included in the Red Data Book of Uzbekistan and require special protection measures. The aim of this study is to analyze the current state of rare plant species in the Nurata region and to develop effective conservation strategies for their protection. The research is based on field observations, analysis of scientific literature, and ecological assessment of plant habitats. The results show that anthropogenic factors such as overgrazing, land use changes, and climate variability negatively affect the distribution and survival of rare plant species. Therefore, the implementation of effective conservation strategies, including habitat protection, monitoring programs, and environmental education, is essential for preserving biodiversity in the Nurata botanical-geographical district.
