CPER Deep Playa Cores - This study was initiated by Dr. Carolyn Olson, Staff Leader, Field Investigations, National Soil Survey Laboratory. Four soils were sampled at landscape positions associated with the most prominent playa on the CPER: playa, playa rim, backslope above playa, and playa outlet. The soils were sampled by genetic horizon to depths of 14 m, 18 m, 6 m and 17 m, respectively. Pedons were analyzed at the National Soil Survey Laboratory, Lincoln, Nebraska. Analyses included: particle size (including fractionation of sand, silt and clay); organic C; dithionate-citrate extractable Fe, Mn and Al; NH4OAC extractable bases; exchangeable Na; water-extracted cations and anions; CEC.
CPER深层干盐湖岩心——本研究由美国国家土壤调查实验室野外调查主管Carolyn Olson博士牵头启动。研究团队在CPER区域最具代表性的干盐湖周边四类典型景观位置采集土样,分别为干盐湖本体、干盐湖边缘、干盐湖上方的后坡以及干盐湖出水口。所有土样均按照土壤发生层(genetic horizon)进行分层采集,各采样点的最大采样深度依次为14米、18米、6米与17米。全部土壤单体(Pedon)样品均在内布拉斯加州林肯市的美国国家土壤调查实验室完成分析测试,分析项目涵盖:粒度分析(含砂粒、粉粒与黏粒分级)、有机碳、连二亚硫酸盐-柠檬酸提取态铁、锰、铝、乙酸铵(NH4OAC)提取态盐基、交换性钠、水提取态阴阳离子以及阳离子交换量(CEC, Cation Exchange Capacity)。
