Women’s Communication and Advocacy Initiative on Women’s Rights, Empowerment, and Social Justice (DIARIO DE ALMA: 2014–2017) Resource type Dataset(Audiovisual documentation) Description DIARIO DE ALMA was a women’s communication and advocacy initiative developed by Verónica Pereyra Carrillo, between January 2014 and March 2017 to promote public education, awareness-raising, and interdisciplinary dialogue on women’s rights, empowerment, equality, and social justice. Disseminated through a dedicated Facebook platform, with audiovisual recordings later published on YouTube, the initiative created an open-access digital space for public engagement and feminist knowledge exchange. During this period, DIARIO DE ALMA produced 38 single-topic broadcasts, each devoted to a specific issue concerning women’s lives, rights, participation, representation, and wellbeing. Every broadcast featured interviews, seminars, or public conversations with distinguished women scholars, scientists, practitioners, artists, activists, and institutional representatives whose expertise was directly connected to the topic addressed. Topics addressed throughout the series included: women’s empowerment women and science women and humor women experiencing homelessness gender equality violence prevention sexual and reproductive health women’s political participation women with disabilities indigenous women’s rights education for equality resilience and social transformation The initiative fostered dialogue across academic, institutional, cultural, and civil society sectors, amplifying women’s voices and promoting critical reflection on diverse issues affecting women in contemporary society. Project documentation indicates dissemination across 45 countries, demonstrating significant international reach through digital educational communication and social media circulation. This Zenodo record preserves the audiovisual documentation of the initiative as an open-access resource for research, teaching, feminist public scholarship, and historical documentation of women-led communication and advocacy practices.
