Terahertz radiation (THz) is in the electromagnetic spectrum region between far infrared waves and microwaves and corresponds to a wavelength range of 0.3 to 0.03 mm. A study of the non-thermal dynamic effects of terahertz radiation on E. coli was conducted. RNA-Seq data were obtained for the E. coli cells under and without THz irradiation conditions after 5, 20 and 40 minutes.
