INTRODUCTION: Kidney function recovery (KFR) within 90 days is a key objective in acute kidney injury management. Prior studies described KFR at 7, 30, 60 and 90 days but used varied definitions, mainly crude rates, resulting in non-standardized measures. Because KFR probabilities decline predictably and reflect both magnitude and timing, we used them together with median KFR time to define 90-day KFR trajectories and compare AKI subgroups.
