Groundwater bodies of mainland Portugal: SNIAmb spatial data set

Update of the delimitation of Groundwater Masses (Article 5 of the WFD) for the 2nd planning cycle 2015-2021 (RBMP-2). With the application of Decree-Law No 130/2012 amending and republic the Water Law (Law No 58/2005), it was necessary to reallocate the Groundwater Masses to the new Hydrographic Regions due to the change in the Ribeiras do Oeste area. The boundaries of the masses where there were “gaps” were also reviewed, eliminating them and creating new bodies of water resulting from the evaluation carried out in the RBMP-1.
