资源简介:
All data from the publication entitled, "A pathogenic skin fungus and sloughing exacerbate cutaneous water loss in amphibians". The data file is divided into multiple datasets. Dataset 1: Cutaneous water loss rate (g/h) data from five species of Australian frog (Litoria caerulea, Limnodynastes tasmaniensis, Limnodynastes peronii, Lechriodus fletcheri, and Platyplectrum ornatum). Includes individual ID, species, date of measurement, snout-vent length (SVL), exposure group and history of experimental exposure to the fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis, infection load, water loss rates during activity and inactivity as well as total water loss during the measurement period, and the temperature, humidity, and wind speed during testing. Dataset 2: Cutaneous water loss rate (g/h) data from green tree frogs (Lit. caerulea) during sloughing, inactivity, and activity, and when infected with the fungus Bd. Includes individual ID, date of measurement, snout-vent length (SVL), exposure group and history of experimental exposure to the fungus Bd, infection status and load, initial mass, percent mass loss, water loss rates during activity and inactivity before, during, and after sloughing, and the temperature, humidity, and wind speed during testing. Dataset 3: Cutaneous water loss rate (g/h) data from green tree frogs (Lit. caerulea) throughout the intermolt period (between two sloughing events). Includes individual ID, date of measurement, exposure group and history of experimental exposure to the fungus Bd, infection status and load, hours post sloughing that the measurement was taken, snout-vent length (SVL), proportion of the intermolt interval the measurement was taken (hours post sloughing/length of intermolt period), water loss rate (g/h), behavior (Active, Inactive, or Sloughing), and the temperature, humidity, and wind speed during testing. Dataset 4: Additional details on the history of exposure to Bd for each frog. All experiments were conducted with the approval of the University of Queensland Animal Welfare Committee (certificate SBS/452/12/URG) and the Queensland Environmental Protection Agency (permit WISP12218412).
