To understand how chronic intermittent ethanol vapor exposure changes the RNA content of brain-derived extracellular vesicles, we isolated total RNA and used lncRNA/mRNA microarray analysis to examine differential expression following CIE exposure in female animals Adult, female C57BL/6J mice were exposed to ethanol vapor or room air for 8h a day, 5 days a week, for 4 weeks. Animals were euthanized immediately following the final day of exposure and brains collected. Extracellular vesicles were isolated from whole brain by differential ultracentrifugation and total RNA isolated from extracellular vesicles for analysis of lncRNA and mRNA content
