The collaborative study involved 3 organizations for comparing high-throughput sequencing with conventional in vitro and in vivo assays that are currently recommended for adventitious virus detection in biological products. Test samples were two viruses spiked separately at different genome copy number in a complex matrix for evaluating the sensitivity of virus detection by the different methods.
