Upcoming natural gas projects in Africa by resource volume 2021

As of 2020, Africa counted around 15 major upcoming natural gas projects. The leading developments in terms of estimated resource volume are located in Mozambique. For instance, three projects operated in the country by the companies ExxonMobil and Total have together estimated reserves of over 10.5 million barrels of oil equivalent. In fact, natural gas discoveries in the last 10 years in Mozambique have promoted the country to a promising position in the energy industry.
