These registers contain a summary record of all homestead selections in the Land District of Albury, kept by the Wagga Wagga Land Board Office.The homestead selection tenure was introduced in 1895 by the Crown Lands Act of 1895 (58 Vic. No.18). Upon compliance with conditions, a perpetual lease grant could be issued to the lessee.
