Parkes observations for project P885 semester 2020APRS_01

We propose to observe the magnetars 1E 1547.0-5408 and PSR J1622-4950\r\napproximately weekly, to track their rotation, flux density, and\r\npolarisation, as we have long been doing through this project. The\r\nrevolutionary UWL capabilities promise new opportunities to disentangle\r\nstill mysterious radio emission mechanisms in magnetars. This promise\r\nis supported by the recent follow up of XTE J1810-197, again a radio\r\nmagnetar after 10 years dormant, for which our observations with\r\nthe UWL receiver are providing unique and tantalizing measurements\r\nof its radio spectrum and polarisation.

本研究提出将以约每周一次的频次观测磁星（magnetar）1E 1547.0-5408与PSR J1622-4950，以追踪其自转特性、流量密度与偏振状态，一如本项目长期以来开展的观测工作。
具备革命性性能的UWL观测能力，为厘清磁星迄今仍未被阐明的神秘射电辐射机制提供了全新契机。
这一潜力已得到近期对XTE J1810-197的后续观测佐证：该天体同样为射电磁星，在经历10年休眠后重新活跃，我们借助UWL接收机开展的观测，为其射电光谱与偏振特性提供了独一无二且引人瞩目的测量数据。
