Kenya (2007): Malaria TRaC Study Evaluating Bed Net Ownership and Use among Pregnant Women and Children under 5 (years). Third Round

In 2001 a malaria survey was incorporated in the national Knowledge and Attitude study in Kenya to provide baseline estimates on bed net ownership, net use, and knowledge of malaria symptoms to inform a PSI malaria program proposed to start in Kenya in 2002. Every two years, the malaria program indicators have been monitored and feedback provided to the donor community and government of Kenya, Ministry of Health. In 2007, a fourth round of survey was carried out using TRaC methodology to monitor trends of old and gather baselines of new indicators. All surveys were designed to inform programming, not only for PSI-Kenya but for the Government of Kenya and all interested implementing partners.
