International visitors and misery index in Mexico

We present the data to compute the compensated misery index proposed by Hortalà and Rey (2011), and the number of international visitors in Mexico. Besides, in the Excel document named “misery index” we present our computation of such an index. These data were used to estimate a bivariate SVAR model that aims to analyze the effect of the arrival of international visitors to Mexico on the misery index. Likewise, we present the dummy variables that were introduced as exogenous variables in the SVAR model. Finally, we are also sharing an EViews file with the series used to compute the model, and the model we have estimated.本数据集提供用于测算Hortalà与Rey（2011）提出的补偿型痛苦指数（compensated misery index）以及墨西哥国际游客到访量的相关数据。此外，在命名为“痛苦指数（misery index）”的Excel文件中，我们展示了该指数的自主测算结果。上述数据被用于估计二元结构向量自回归（SVAR）模型，以分析墨西哥国际游客到访量对痛苦指数的影响效应。同时，我们还提供了在该SVAR模型中作为外生变量引入的虚拟变量数据。最后，本数据集同步共享了EViews文件，其中包含用于模型构建的序列数据以及我们已估计完成的模型本体。
