Weight measurements of bakelite/glass samples during drying process
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the weight measurements (using an analytical scale) of two bakelite and one glass samples during the drying (and humidifying) process to condition them before measuring their bulk resistivity using the PDC technique. The samples have been kept continuosly in an oven, set to 50 °C and flushed with dry air, for over 40 days and their weight has been measured twice a day (except for the Christmas break, during which the oven was still ON but no weight measurement was carried out). One can cleary see how the bakelite weight decreased over time and reached stable values (i.e. all the moisture had evaporated) after ~36 days while the glass didn't lose much weight at all. One day, one of the two samples of bakelite was removed from the oven and exposed to environmental air, to measure how fast it would re-absorb mositure from air. What is now missing, and which will be uploaded in a second version of the dataset, is the exposition of the samples to a controlled humidity air (humidified at 43%) before carrying out the PDC measurement.
