Fire severity research of 2002 Wulin Fire in Taiwan data created by fire lab of Taiwan Forestry Research Institute

The objects of this study are to develop a methodology of evaluate fire severity by using satallite image, and to transfer this technique to practical uses for fire managers. The study design was to set up 20 postfire sampling plots. Each plot has 20*20 m in area. A team entered the fire site a week after fire. There are items of data will collected including understory and canopy lay. Then, satallite images of fire site were collected from National Central Univ Remote Sensing Center.本研究的核心目标为开发一套基于卫星影像（satellite image）评估火灾烈度的方法，并将该技术转化为可供火灾管理人员落地应用的实用方案。本研究的设计方案为设置20个灾后采样样地，每个样地的面积为20米×20米。研究团队于火灾发生一周后进驻火场。本次采集的数据项涵盖林下植被层与林冠层相关信息。随后，研究人员从国立中央大学遥感中心（National Central Univ Remote Sensing Center）获取了火场区域的卫星影像。
