Dataset Direct Download Service (WFS): Hunting and Wildlife Reserve (RCFS) in Grand Est

A Wild Hunting and Wildlife Reserve (RCFS) is one of the protected natural areas (ENPs) that are designated or managed within an international, Community, national or local framework with a view to achieving specific objectives for the conservation of the natural heritage.

Hunting and wildlife reserves are terrestrial or marine spaces
to protect the natural habitats of endangered species, including migratory bird populations, and to promote the development of tools for the management of species and their habitats, with the aim of sustainable hunting in rural areas.

They are created by prefectural decree, either at the request of the holder of the right to
hunting, either on the initiative of the departmental or inter-departmental federation of hunters, when it comes to supporting actions of general interest.

Hunting is prohibited, with the exception of regulatory actions
necessary to maintain biological and agro-sylvo-cynegetic balances.
