Bulk RNAseq of Inha KO mouse placenta exposed to DEHP

Bulk RNA-seq was performed on untreated, vehicle-exposed and DEHP-exposed mouse placentae collected at E15.5. These placentae were taken from male and female inhibin alpha (Inha) KO fetuses, which demonstrate elevated activin A bioactivity, as well as their WT and Het littermates. DEHP-exposed fetuses were collected from pregnant dams given DEHP orally at 500 mg/kg/day in corn oil from E12.5-14.5. Vehicle-exposed controls were collected from dams given corn oil orally at 1ul/g/day for the same time period. Elevated activin A is a hallmark of a number of pregnancy disorders, including preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction, making this model relevant to these conditions. In addition, DEHP exposure is almost ubiquitous in humans, making knowledge of its effects an important field of study.
