Presentation of the results of the EU sound mapping.
For road and rail traffic.
The municipality of Utrecht has to calculate the noise level in the city every 5 years. The last calculation is from 2016. We look at where more than 55 decibel (dB) noise is due to car traffic, rail and industry. The maps show the average noise level over 24 hours. On those for traffic and rail noise, there is also the average noise level at night. The night runs from 23:00 in the evening until 07.00 in the morning.
