Rapid neural DNA methylation responses to predation stress in Trinidadian guppies

In this study, we investigated DNA methylation responses in the brain to an acute exposure to alarm cue in Trinidadian guppies (Poecilia reticulata). 60 guppies were used (half males and half females), with half exposed to alarm cue and half exposed to control cue. Brains were then extracted at set time points after cue exposure (0.5h, 1h, 4h, 24h, and 72h) and whole genome bisulfites sequencing was down to identify methylation responses.
