Bibliographic corpora and R analysis script for: "From sentinel disease to exposure-based risk: a comparative bibliometric analysis of occupational cancer research on softwood dust (1968–2025)

This repository contains the bibliographic corpora and R analysis script supporting the study "From sentinel disease to exposure-based risk: a comparative analysis of occupational cancer research on softwood dust (1968–2025)" (Aguilar-Elena, Delgado-García & Rozo-Silva, submitted to Safety Science, 2026). The study applies a comparative bibliometric design to examine the conceptual evolution of occupational cancer research related to softwood dust exposure over the period 1968–2025, drawing records from the Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus. Two complementary bibliographic corpora are analysed: one focused on nasal adenocarcinoma as a sentinel occupational disease (n = 66 documents, 1983–2025), and a second addressing all cancer outcomes associated with occupational exposure to softwood dust (n = 139 documents, 1968–2025). The deposit includes: (1) two cleaned and deduplicated CSV files containing the bibliographic records for each corpus, exported from the bibliometrix R environment after merging and thematic filtering; and (2) the full R analysis script (v05), covering data import, cancer type classification using a two-stage title-priority algorithm, annual production analysis, trend topic analysis, editorial concentration analysis, and generation of all figures and supplementary tables reported in the manuscript. The original .bib files from Web of Science and Scopus are not included due to publisher licensing restrictions. The CSV files provided are sufficient to reproduce all analyses.
