Cooma Region - Upper Murrumbidgee Waterwatch

Upper Murrumbidgee Waterwatch 1. Engages the community in the environment through monitoring and caring for our catchments; 2. Educates and raises awareness in schools and the community on issues concerning catchment health; and 3. Uses data collected by volunteers to inform policy and on ground catchment management. Upper Murrumbidgee Waterwatch is looking for volunteers to help us on our Autumn Bug Blitz. Macro-invertebrates (water bugs) are an excellent indicator of stream health & we need to get an adequate set of data from across the region to feed into our Catchment Health Indicator Program.上默伦比奇水资源守望项目（Upper Murrumbidgee Waterwatch） 1. 以集水区监测与管护为载体，引导社区群体参与环境保护实践； 2. 面向学校与社区开展科普宣教活动，提升公众对集水区健康相关议题的认知水平； 3. 整合志愿者采集的监测数据，为政策制定与实地集水区管护工作提供科学依据。 上默伦比奇水资源守望项目现招募志愿者协助开展秋季昆虫突击普查活动。大型无脊椎动物（Macro-invertebrates，即水生昆虫）是反映溪流健康状况的优质指示物种，我们需要在全区域范围内采集足量数据，以纳入集水区健康指标计划（Catchment Health Indicator Program）。
