Global Near Real-Time Temperature and Salinity Profile Data from the GTSPP project from 04 June 2003 to 23 July 2003 (NODC Accession 0001106)

Physical, current, meteorological, and other data were collected from XBT casts, buoys, and other instruments from a World-Wide distribution. Data were collected from 14 June 2003 to 16 July 2003. Data were submitted by the Marine Environmental Data Service (MEDS) in support of the Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography (Argo), the Gulf of Mexico NOAA/NMFS Ship of Opportunity (SOOP), and the Global Temperature-Salinity Pilot Project (GTSPP). Physical parameters include profiles of temperature and salinity. Current parameters include current direction and speed. Meteorological parameters include dry bulb temperature, wind speed, wind direction, relative humidity, and air pressure.本数据集包含物理、海流、气象及其他类型观测数据，采集自全球分布的抛投式温盐深剖面仪（Expendable Bathythermograph, XBT）投放观测、海洋浮标及其他仪器。数据采集时段为2003年6月14日至2003年7月16日。本数据集由海洋环境数据服务中心（Marine Environmental Data Service, MEDS）提交，用于支持实时地转海洋学阵列（Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography, Argo）、墨西哥湾NOAA/NMFS 机会航船计划（Ship of Opportunity, SOOP）及全球温盐剖面试点项目（Global Temperature-Salinity Pilot Project, GTSPP）的相关工作。其中，物理参数涵盖温度与盐度剖面数据；海流参数包含流向与流速信息；气象参数包括干球温度、风速、风向、相对湿度及气压。
