超级站拥有自动积雪观测仪器,可以获取大部分连续时间内的包括积自身雪物理属性和积雪物质能量交换过程的相关参数,为许多分布式积雪表面能量平衡模型还需要雪层剖面温度、积雪晶体粒径、表面辐射、密度等提供常规气象站无法获取的积雪参数。青藏高原区域内共布设有4个超级站(又称综合观测站)的积雪观测信息,分别是错那站、黑河冰沟垭口站、甘德站和慕士塔格站,各站点的空间分布如缩略图所示。
各超级站观测的雪深参数分别存放于以各个站点命名的文件夹内,受仪器布设、仪器性能和当地环境条件的影响,各站点的积雪观测参数类别、观测频率不完全统一。其中错那站和甘德站包含2017~2019年两个积雪年内的连续观测,黑河冰沟垭口站包含2017~2021连续四个积雪年的连续观测,慕士塔格站包含2019~2021年连续两个积雪年的连续观测,数据记录格式为EXCEL格式。每个站的观测变量不同,具体可参考各站内的数据说明。
The supersites are equipped with automated snow observation instruments, which can collect relevant parameters including snow physical properties and mass and energy exchange processes over most continuous time periods. These parameters, such as snow layer profile temperature, snow crystal size, surface radiation and snow density, are unavailable for conventional meteorological stations but required by many distributed snow surface energy balance models.
A total of 4 supersites (also called integrated observation stations) for snow observation are deployed in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau region, namely Cuona Station, Heihe Binggou Pass Station, Gande Station and Muztagata Station. Their spatial distribution is shown in the attached thumbnail.
The snow depth parameters observed by each supersite are stored in folders named after the respective stations. Affected by instrument layout, instrument performance and local environmental conditions, the types of snow observation parameters and observation frequencies vary across different stations.
Specifically, Cuona Station and Gande Station have continuous observations from two snow seasons (2017–2019); Heihe Binggou Pass Station has continuous observations from four consecutive snow seasons (2017–2021); and Muztagata Station has continuous observations from two consecutive snow seasons (2019–2021). All data are stored in EXCEL format.
The observed variables differ across stations, and detailed information can be found in the data documentation within each station's folder.
