Global Near Real-Time Temperature and Salinity Profile Data from the GTSPP project from 11 July 2002 to 13 November 2002 (NODC Accession 0000816)

Physical, current, meteorological, and other data were collected from XBT casts, buoys, and other instruments from a World-Wide distribution. Data were collected from 11 July 2002 to 13 November 2002. Data were submitted by the Marine Environmental Data Service (MEDS) in support of the Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography (Argo), the Gulf of Mexico NOAA/NMFS Ship of Opportunity (SOOP), the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE), and the Global Temperature-Salinity Pilot Project (GTSPP). Physical parameters include profiles of temperature and salinity. Current parameters include current direction and speed. Meteorological data include dry bulb temperature, wind speed, wind direction, relative humidity, and air pressure.本数据集采集了全球分布的抛弃式温深仪（Expendable Bathythermograph, XBT）剖面测量、浮标及其他仪器获取的物理、海流、气象及其他相关数据。数据采集时段为2002年7月11日至2002年11月13日。数据由海洋环境数据服务中心（Marine Environmental Data Service, MEDS）提交，用于支持实时地转海洋学阵列（Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography, Argo）、墨西哥湾美国国家海洋和大气管理局/国家海洋渔业局机遇航船计划（Ship of Opportunity, SOOP）、世界大洋环流实验（World Ocean Circulation Experiment, WOCE）以及全球温盐剖面试验项目（Global Temperature-Salinity Pilot Project, GTSPP）。其中，物理参数包含温度与盐度剖面数据；海流参数包含流向与流速；气象数据包含干球温度、风速、风向、相对湿度与大气压强。
