Gamete concentrations and gonad index for Pacific crown-of-thorns starfish

Data presented on gamete concentrations (number of oocytes or sperm released per gram of gonad materrial, following induced spawning on samples of gonads) for Pacific crown-of-thorns starfish collectedd on the Great Barrier Reef during the population irruption that started in ~2010. 本数据集收录了2010年左右开始的种群暴发期间，在大堡礁（Great Barrier Reef）采集的太平洋棘冠海星（Pacific crown-of-thorns starfish）的相关数据：包括对性腺样本开展诱导产卵后得到的配子浓度数据，即每克性腺组织释放的卵母细胞或精子数量；同时还包含更大批次海星的性腺总质量与对应体质量数据，以支持繁殖投入或性腺指数（gonad index, GI）的估算工作。
本数据集包含3个电子表格文件，同时保存为MS Excel (.xlsx)与Open Document (.ods)两种格式：
1. GI COTS GBR 2014-19：大堡礁太平洋棘冠海星的性腺指数数据，即性腺总质量与体总质量的比值；
2. Oocyte conc COTS GBR 2015：2015年在蜥蜴岛（Lizard Island）采集的32只雌性海星的卵母细胞浓度测定数据，每只海星分别从3个腕足取样；
3. Sperm conc COTS GBR 2015：2015年在蜥蜴岛（Lizard Island）采集的11只雄性海星的精子浓度测定数据，每只海星分别从3个腕足取样。
