MBR microbial consortium

Membrane fouling is major issue of membrane bioreactor which is one of the most innovative wastewater treatment system. The membrane bioreactor was caused by some bacteria to produce soluble microbial products and extracelluler polymeric substances. In this study, in order o explore the membrane fouling causing bacteria and alleviation bacteria, microbial consortium of activated sludge in membrane bioreactor and biofilm developed on the membrane were analyzed.
