The present study attempted to unveil the molecular basis of the stress adaption mechanisms of larvae at crucial developmental stages with a comparative transcriptomic analysis of Scylla paramamosain megalopa under high and low salinity stress. Considering the ecological and economic importance of the species as well as the crucial role of the megalopa in larval rearing in aquaculture, molecular knowledge of their environmental tolerance and the physiological changes in this development stage are of great value for their management and potential culture.
