Bacterial community developing on different plastic types in the ocean

This study was aimed at characterizing the bacterial community developing on different plastic types incubated at the ocean´s surface in the northern Adriatic Sea over a course of two months, under both dim and ambient light conditions. The results of the this project provide a better understanding on whether there are plastic type-specific communities developing on certain plastics.
