(see [Stat'Ur n°362](https://www.urssaf.org/reception/statistics/our-studies-and-analyses/employers/national/employers-2023/employees-wages-June2023.html)). __ ** _Disclaimer (20/01/2022)_**: **** The introduction since March 2015 of the Registered Social Declaration (DSN), which replaces in particular the Summary Contribution Schedule (BRC), modifies the reporting information necessary for the calculation of the statistical indicators presented in this publication. The new source makes it possible to calculate institutions’ headcounts on the basis of individual contract data, whereas the aggregate headcount of those same institutions, historically present in the BRCs, remained temporarily present in DSNs. The integration of individual data into the statistical processing chain of the number of employees, carried out gradually since 2016, was finalised in June 2021 with the publication of the results for the first quarter of 2021. Workforce data are now 100% derived from the use of individual DSN data (see [Acoss Stat 325](https://www.urssaf.org/reception/statistics/our-studies-and-analyses/employers/national/2021/la-masse-salariale-June2021-1.html)). In view of these methodological changes, more significant than usual revisions, particularly in terms of staffing levels, can therefore be observed compared with the data previously reported. \- The number of establishments includes all **employers who reported a payroll in the last month of the year** (before the update of 20/01/2022, it included all establishments that reported a payroll in the last quarter of the year). \- Employee numbers are measured at the end of the year. An establishment can therefore be counted with 0 employees if wages were paid during the last quarter but there is no longer an employment contract in progress on 31 December. \- The number of employees in the establishment is calculated on the basis of the number of employees measured on 31 December. \- A sole proprietorship is included in the field only if it pays a payroll. \- The scope of the data disseminated here is the same as [that of the publications of the Acoss and the Urssaf](https://www.urssaf.org/accueil/statistiques/our-methodology/les- effectifs-salaries-et-la-mas.html "Competitive field") on the number of employees and the payroll. This field was modified on the occasion of the publication of data for the first quarter of 2017 in connection with the new production process for quarterly employment estimates carried out by Acoss, Dares and INSEE. In this context, the interim staff produced in the publications of Acoss and Urssaf are now mobilizing Dares data. However, unlike these publications, the data downloadable here still includes interim staff from the Acoss production line based on DSN data. \- The data contained in this set are raw, unlike the quarterly (more aggregated) data published in the short-term publications of Acoss and Urssaf, which are seasonally adjusted.
