Chile: COVID-19 impact on the industry and services sector in Santiago 2020

According to a survey carried out in Chile in March 2020, the main problem faced by the industrial and services sectors in the Santiago Metropolitan Region during the COVID-19 pandemic was the decrease in demand and sales. Up to 81 percent of the industrial companies and 76 percent of the services providers surveyed suffered a drop in sales. Businesses in the industry sector were specially affected by supply chain disruptions, with 65 percent of respondents reporting such difficulties.
