VPRS 13636 Index to Signalling and Communications Plans and Drawings

This series was created to provide access to plans and drawings (see VPRS 13635 Signalling and Communications Drawings) created by the Signal Division, Way and Works Branch (?? 1915 to 1922), Signal and Telegraph Branch (1922 to 1933), Way and Works Branch (1933 to 1983) of Victorian Railways VA 2876. From 1983, the Signals and Communications Department of the State Transport Authority (STA) VA 1038 became responsible for the design and construction of communications and signal system for STA (including Metropolitan Train Division, MRD).The Signal and Telegraph Branch was responsible for the maintenance and construction of railway telephones, telegraph, signalling, safe working and interlocking apparatus through the State, light and power installations outside the electrified area and other allied work.The information recorded included:- Drawing No-Title- History of drawing and- Date of installation
