Sales data of brand stores in Jiangsu Province can be retrieved via the designated platform to evaluate the sales performance of various products across different seasons in this region. By analyzing customer color preference metrics and size proportion data, we can gain insights into customer preferences and the size distribution of the local customer base, optimize marketing plans, and facilitate the rational arrangement of production orders as well as targeted regional pre-distribution of goods.
Data Collection: Collect sales-related data including order source store, color, size, season, province, city, district, product category and other relevant fields.
Data Processing: Clean the dataset, remove duplicate entries, handle missing values, identify and process outliers to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive statistical analysis on the processed data. Based on seasonal variations, count the top 6 product categories by sales volume in each season within the Jiangsu region. Subsequently, separately calculate the color preference and size proportion for these top 6 ranked categories. Specifically, color preference is defined as the ratio of the order volume of a specific color under a given category to the total order volume of that category; size proportion is defined as the ratio of the order volume of a specific size under a given category to the total order volume of that category. Through these calculations, we can identify the product categories preferred by the local customer group in each season, as well as the customers' color preferences and size selection ratios for those categories. Finally, self-built models and Business Intelligence (BI) tools are utilized to realize the visual display of the analysis results.
Data Application: Apply the analysis results to operational scenarios to help brand stores better understand customer preferences and preferred sales sizes across seasons in this region, thereby formulating more precise marketing strategies and guiding enterprises to reasonably arrange production and product distribution.
