Microcosm: Flask experiment of phytoplankton-bacteria interaction in a natural community using control and oil treatments; non-radioactive experiment; extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) assays for protein, neutral sugar, uronic acid, organic carbon, and total nitrogen

This dataset was from 2 flask experiments (short term and long term) using natural seawaters from the Galveston Bay, Texas for triplicate treatments for control and oil (4ppm). Included are concentrations characterizing the colloidal EPS (&lt; 0.2 um and &gt; 3kDa) for proteins, neutral sugars, uronic acids, colloidal organic carbon, and colloidal total nitrogen. Permeate from the 3kDa membrane was tested for dissolved organic carbon and dissolved total nitrogen. The long-term experiment was sampled daily for 3 days from January 22-25, 2019. The short-term experiment was sampled for selected hourly intervals (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 8) on July 18, 2019.本数据集源自两组烧瓶实验，分别为短期实验与长期实验，实验采用取自美国得克萨斯州加尔维斯顿湾（Galveston Bay）的天然海水，设置对照组与4ppm石油浓度组，每组均进行三次平行处理。数据集包含表征胶体胞外聚合物（Extracellular Polymeric Substances, EPS）的浓度数据，其粒径与分子量范围为<0.2 μm且>3kDa，检测指标涵盖蛋白质、中性糖、糖醛酸、胶体有机碳及胶体总氮。此外，对3kDa膜的渗透液开展了溶解有机碳与溶解总氮的检测。长期实验于2019年1月22日至25日连续3天每日采样；短期实验于2019年7月18日在选定的小时时间点（0、1、2、3、4、8小时）完成采样。
