The Southwestern South Atlantic (SWSA) is a critical region for understanding climate dynamics and assessing renewable energy potential, yet high-resolution meteorological data remain limited. Here we present a multi-resolution weather dataset spanning February 2017 to November 2018, combining atmospheric simulations from the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model with wind field retrievals from Sentinel-1A/B Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) processed using the CMOD5 geophysical model. WRF outputs were generated at 30-minute intervals for three nested domains (9-km, 3-km, and 1-km resolution) through 325 short-term simulations, covering the period from 06:30 UTC on 6 February 2017 to 06:00 UTC on 18 November 2018 (thus, the first and last days contain 35 and 13 time steps, respectively, rather than the default 48 per day). The dataset covers the southern Brazilian coast and adjacent offshore region, spanning approximately 41°S–11°S and 64°W–30°W in the outer domain. SAR/CMOD5 wind fields are provided at 500 m and 1 km resolution across 104 acquisition dates. In situ wind measurements from the Itajaí buoy can be used to validate both data sources.
