Apis mellifera honeybees' hypopharyngeal glands DGE project. Apis mellifera ligustica

We analyzed the gene expression difference following three developmental stages of hypopharyngeal glands in Apis mellifera and Apis cerana (New, Nurse and Forager) using a tag-based digital gene expression (DGE) method. Each sample has two biological replicates. From the twelve DGE-tag libraries, we obtained about 5.8 million clean tags respectively. And detected 9 and 2 differentially expressed genes expressed the highest and lowest in Nursing stage of Aml, the corresponding number in Acc were 4 and 21.
