The project was a "Competence project for business and industry". 2015 - 2018.
The project is part of CEDREN, with funding from the Research Council and industrial partners, industry organizations and the administrative body. The project aimed to contribute to unified water management in regulated watercourses that are accepted both locally and nationally. SusWater has a knowledge- and dialogue-based approach to strengthen management practices that include economic, social and environmental dimensions.
The multidisciplinary project consists of many parts, among those two surveys. One is an open web-based survey aimed at anglers and paddlers in Hordaland and Agder. It focuses on user interests in regulated watercourses. Information about this survey was disseminated via facebook. The second survey was a closed web-based survey sent via e-mail to 205 people in Norway in the hydropower industry, management and interest organizations. The surveys were conducted in 2017.
