GIS mapping of the total area impacted primarily by coarse, rocky debris from rock avalanches (defined as Zone 1 deposits) utilizing published mapping, aerial and satellite imagery, topographic data, and terrain analysis. Events in this dataset include prehistoric events (maximum age approximately 10 - 14 ka) up to modern events within the Canadian Cordillera region, which have been described previously in literature, but not combined into a single, regional dataset.
