Exploring the electron-doping effect on the CsV3Sb5 2D kagome superconductor

The two-dimensional kagome lattice can host a variety of exotic electronic physics, such as quantum spin liquids, various topological states, and a wide array of instabilities, ranging from bond density wave order to charge fractionalization, charge density waves, and unconventional superconductivity. We propose a muon spin spectroscopy investigation of the superconducting state of the newly discovered CsV3Sb5 two-dimensional Kagome compound as a function of the electron doping driven by the Te/Sb heterovalent partial substitution. Transverse field measurements will be used to investigate the superconducting gap nature and to measure the London penetration depth evolution with doping. Zero field measurements will be performed to study the possible presence of time-reversal symmetry breaking in the superconducting state induced by the doping. This study is expected to give significant experimental outcomes to understand the exotic and rich quantum behaviour arising from the 2D kagome lattice.
