Matching pairs of fracture surfaces from ceramic materials for forensic analysis

This dataset is comprised of microscope images of matching surface pairs for a variety of ceramics. The images are exported as grayscale height data into .csv file format. There are three sets of folders present in this dataset, the first is a set of ceramic plates, the second is a set of porcelain plates, and the third is the handle of a broken mug. Two reference pictures of the mug and plates have also been included. The data were collected as a case study for a fracture matching algorithm to determine if two surfaces were once a single original sample and can be helpful in validating similar fracture matching algorithms. <br>
