We collected demand and price data of PVB films over a specific time period to derive the price elasticity of demand for such PVB films. If the percentage change in quantity demanded is greater than the percentage change in price, the demand is considered price elastic, reflecting that customers are more sensitive to price changes: the larger the elasticity, the more sensitive the demand is to price fluctuations, and all enterprises in this industry can appropriately lower their prices to gain higher revenue. Conversely, if the demand is price inelastic, all enterprises in this industry can appropriately raise their prices to gain higher revenue. This dataset is of great significance for the marketing decision-making of all enterprises in the industry. 1. Data Collection: Collect demand and price data of PVB interlayer films over a specific time period, then organize and categorize the data by customer regions to obtain the quantity demanded change values and price change values of PVB interlayer films of various specifications in different regions. 2. Algorithm Rules: Calculate the collected data using the following formula to obtain the demand elasticity coefficient: Demand Elasticity Coefficient ( E_d = -frac{Delta Q / Q}{Delta P / P} ) Where: Q represents the quantity demanded of the product, unit: units; P represents the price of the product, unit: yuan; ΔQ represents the year-over-year change in quantity demanded, unit: units; ΔP represents the year-over-year change in price, unit: yuan.
