PROVE-IT-MATE/1: A Provenance-Sealed AI Log Transformation and Deterministic Sonification Reference Experiment

PROVE-IT-MATE/1 is a provenance-preserving reference experiment documenting a multi-stage transformation of an AI interaction log into structured text, derived lyrics, and deterministic PCM sonification. The experiment begins with an archived interaction concerning an AI system struggling with deliberately adversarial YAML. The source interaction was transformed into a deliberately cursed XML representation, which was subsequently used in a second AI interaction. The resulting log was then used along two parallel paths: semantic transformation into lyrics and deterministic structural transformation into audio using the LOGSON/1 sonification procedure. The deposited record preserves the original interaction log, transformed XML, subsequent log, derived lyrics, deterministic sonification implementation, canonical WAV output, machine-readable sonification receipt, SHA-256 manifest, transformation notes, complete archival ZIP, and the PROVE-IT-MATE/1 formal specification. A strict claim boundary is maintained between historical AI-generated transformations and the executable sonification stage. The AI transformations are preserved as provenance-sealed historical artifacts but are not claimed to be reproducible. The Markdown-to-PCM LOGSON/1 transformation is deterministic under its specified parameters and compatible execution environment. For the canonical reference input, LOGSON/1 maps 366 logical Markdown lines to 366 ordered acoustic events at 48 kHz, mono, signed 16-bit PCM, 120 BPM, with a 432 Hz reference frequency. Independent replay reproduced the archived WAV byte-for-byte. The project uses the phrase “Prove it, mate” as both an artistic motif and methodological principle: described computation is distinguished from executed computation, frozen artifacts from reproducible generators, and deterministic transformations from downstream generative creative processes.
